Brew Moon Coffeehouse opened in May, 2003. Our goal was not just to serve coffee, but to be a part of the community. We wanted to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere where people could read or work a crossword, meet with friends over lunch for a celebration or just to talk, or even have a business meeting. The coffeehouse has proven to be a popular office away from the office with Wi-Fi and all the food and drink you could want!

We have enjoyed participating in local associations and projects. We spearheaded, in conjunction with the Eagle River Downtown Business Association and many people and organizations in the community, a benefit raising over $26,000 for the American Red Cross and Katrina victims. For Eagle River’s Sesquicentennial in 2007, we worked with the DBA on the publication of a commemorative calendar. We are avid public radio supporters and sponsor programming on WXPR 91.7 FM.

We participated in several contests, winning first place in both, the 2004 Christmas Decoration Contest sponsored by Eagle River Revitalization Program and the 2004 Annual Flower Show sponsored by the First National Bank of Eagle River. The Annual Flower Show was won due to the efforts of our own personal master gardener, Peri Tennikait, who plants our back patio making it not only enjoyable to sit in, but providing an abundance of beautiful flowers, mints, and herbs, some of which we use in the preparation of our menu items.

The University of Wisconsin Extension Center for Community and Economic Development, chose Brew Moon in 2007 to be a participant in their project as an example of an innovative downtown business. In the Spring of 2006, we were the first to bring Gelato, Italian Ice Cream, to the Northwoods. We make it right here at the coffeehouse!

It is our hope that the coffeehouse has become as important to the community as the community has to us. We love serving those we feel have become our friends and daily acquaintances.
